Manufactured from 6AL-4V Titanium (grade 5) with rolled threads to produce greater fatigue strength and reduce galling. Titanium in general offers a 42% weight saving compared to steel and also a very high resistance to corrosion. Our 'Race Spec' bolts are machined pre-drilled on all flats to allow for ease of lockwiring - by reducing the socket size, scooping out the head and pre drilling our bolts they are 45% lighter than steel equivilents. Where possible use torque values specified by your equipment manufacturer. For titanium fasteners in general use we would recommend a torque of 37 NM to M10 x 1.25 pitch bolts
